What is it?
The T Visa is an immigration benefit for certain victims of human trafficking —labor or sexual— who are in the United States. It allows them to remain temporarily while they cooperate with the authorities and recover.
Who qualifies?
- Having been the victim of a severe form of labor or sexual trafficking.
- Being in the U.S. as a result of that trafficking.
- Cooperating with the authorities (with exceptions based on age and trauma).
